Lift in prayer

October 13, 2016

There’s a tremendous power that’s been given to us in this life – the power to lift someone up in prayer.

We’re in the midst of a battle, each one of us being more than just teeny little people going to our schools, universities, work, trying to survive in this world.
We’re soldiers in God’s massive army, holding up flaming banners, wearing His armour, carrying His Name, fighting with His mighty sword, constantly pushing back the powers of darkness as we sing, praise and live for His glory and His kingdom.

All of us get wounded in this battle, but it’s such an incredible thing that there are soldiers around us who can carry us, lifting us back on our feet again when we fall down. And it’s even more incredible that on some days, we get to be those soldiers.

Though in the midst of it all, it is difficult to remember this truth, I hope that in our darkest times, we have the strength to remember that the war is already won, the worst is overcome.  Victory is His!

The devil is real but he doesn’t win.

You were made to be a light.
So I just want you to not give up – tonight or tomorrow or any day. We need you.
Reach out; because trust me, you are  coming out of the woods.

You and I have the privilege to lift the person next to us in prayer, and that’s a powerful thing to do, in Jesus’ name.

Your struggle, though painful, is simply a jump on the race you’re meant to run. It shows you’re still here. You’re still fighting.  Your’re still pressing on . It shows you know what beautiful looks like, and the beauty might be broken now, but I think we can all agree that doesn’t mean we would’ve wished it away from the beginning.
It can be slow moving and messy but don’t stop pressing on.

Don’t stop actively fighting

Let the pain teach, the struggles reveal and remember that you’re not meant to carry that burden alone – that you were never meant to carry it beyond the Cross.

Go ahead – lift your neighbor up in prayer and know tonight, that you’re being lifted up too.

I have told you these things, so that in Me, you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart, I have overcome the world. - John 16:33
