Look at you, trying to dream big. You think no one’s tried this before?

You think you can be better than the others? Look at you, trying to change the world.

Ha! Don’t you remember what you’ve done, though? Don’t you remember the horrible things you’ve done?

The lies you told, the people you stabbed in the back, the selfish ambitions you pursued? All to glorify yourself?

Don’t you remember your pride? Your disdain towards your family, towards your own body? Don’t you remember the anger you have allowed to flow through you, the hate you have sown, the enemies you’ve made?

And yet, now you think you can do good? That you can make a difference?

You think you’re strong? You think you can do this by yourself? You think you are the one who will succeed, even if it’s just you trying to be a better person?

Boy, you’ll never win. You’ll die trying.

“You’re right. I’ll never win. If I try, I will die.”

Look at you, trying to love. Trying to be pure.

Look at you, your feeble attempt to be something else, something more than the others before you were. You think you’re better? Don’t you remember what you’ve done? Giving your body up for others to use? Seeking attention for yourself? Running after your own desires? And now you think you can change? Forget changing the world, you think you can change yourself? Ha!

You think you’re strong enough? You think you can do this by yourself? You think YOU are the one who will succeed, even if it’s just you trying to be a better person?

Girl, you’ll never win. You’ll die trying.

“You’re right. I’ll never win. If I try, I will die.”

Look at you, dreaming big; thinking you’ll succeed when the others have failed.

You think you can change the world? You think you are strong enough? That you can do this by yourself? You think you are the one who will succeed, who will save the world?

You’ll never win. You’ll die trying.

Look at you – lifeless, destroyed and done. Look at you – hanging cursed on that tree. I told you boy, that you wouldn’t win, that you would die if you tried...

...and you did.

“You’re right. I did. And this is how I win”

Look at you, trying to dream big. You think no one’s tried this before?

You think you can be better than the others? Look at you, trying to change the world. Ha!

Boy, you’ll never win.

“You’re right. I’ll never win.

But I don’t need to.

The Man who died already won for me.”
